Going Green

After being overrun by the plastic bags they give you at the grocery store, and being lectured consistently at our college about the environment, we decided to ‘go green’. Our local grocery stores are offering reusable grocery bags for $1.00 each. We bought 6 of them… and there they are:

They’re quite nice; they hold a good deal more groceries than the ordinary plastic things, and you don’t have to worry about the bottoms falling out either.
Amazing.
Save the trees!
Moving right along…
The city of Seattle is proposing a plan to TAX all of the paper and plastic bags used at .20 cents each. This will definitely make people think twice… and will see a huge influx of re-usable designs hit the market.
